"The Weekend" is a song by American singer SZA from her debut studio album, '' Ctrl'' (2017). It was written by SZA and its producer ThankGod4Cody. The song samples "Set the Mood (Prelude)" from ''FutureSex/LoveSounds'' (2006), written by Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, and Danja, who also received writing credits for "The Weekend". "The Weekend" is an R&B and neo soul record that uses a synth-line, hi-hats, drums, a high-pitched vocal sample and clocking key thumps. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is a trade organization that represents the music recording industry in the United States. Adam King Feeney (born September 12, 1983), better known as Ging and by his former stage name Frank Dukes, is a Canadian musician, record producer, and songwriter. ''Rap-Up'' is a magazine launched in 2001 by founder Devin Lazerine. The publication was originally a website devoted to hip hop, until Lazerine decided to pitch the possibility of a magazine to several publishers. The magazine is focused on the hip hop and R&B aspect of the music industry, and predominantly features interviews with artists, actors and other entertainers.
